Job summary

DWP Digital’s CCNS team in Leeds is offering a Senior Technical Architect role with hybrid working across home and hub locations. You will lead architectural design across on‑premise, cloud and hybrid environments to transform government information access and collaboration.

You will shape future SharePoint and document services, drive secure, scalable solutions, and work with engineers, security specialists and stakeholders to translate complex requirements into robust technical outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience designing architecture across on-prem, cloud and hybrid environments.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience with architecture modelling tools and techniques.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 services (SharePoint, Teams, Copilot) and Adobe products.
• Cloud-based solution delivery with emphasis on security, scalability and best practices.
• Understanding of information governance, privacy, data lifecycle management, and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural leadership across a varied technology portfolio.
• Design the future of SharePoint and document collaboration services; modernise file storage.
• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable and accessible; align with government strategies.
• Collaborate with engineers, product teams, security specialists, suppliers and senior stakeholders to translate complex requirements into robust solutions.
• Influence major technology decisions around Microsoft 365, AI productivity tools, governance and new ways of working.
