Job summary
Anglian Water is delivering the Reservoirs Programme, including the Fens and Lincolnshire reservoirs, and is seeking a Client Design & Engineering Manager to lead strategic technical decisions on a high-profile NSIP. You will oversee design and constructability across a broad engineering portfolio, ensuring value for money and long-term resilience.
The role is hybrid, based in Peterborough with London in-office requirements, and involves working with regulators, partners and delivery
Qualifications
- Proven engineering leadership on major infrastructure projects.
- Experience with NSIPs and dam/river engineering.
- Strong stakeholder management with regulators.
- Ability to balance technical excellence with programme outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic technical oversight across engineering, design and constructability activities.
- Review key engineering outputs and deliverables for Anglian Water.
- Ensure technical integrity across scope, programme, cost and prioritisation decisions.
- Lead resolution of complex technical challenges and risks.
- Act as technical representative for Anglian Water and Cambridge Water in governance and external engagement.
- Collaborate with regulators, environmental bodies and partners.
- Champion health, safety and design risk reduction throughout the lifecycle.
