Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is recruiting a Portfolio Manager to join Defra in Birmingham. You will oversee major change initiatives, strengthen portfolio governance, and enable prioritisation and effective allocation of resources across the Change Portfolio.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across Defra and its arms‑length bodies to deliver the Outcomes Framework, drive efficiency, and shape a future‑proof organisation within a fast‑paced government environment.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering portfolio governance and prioritisation decisions.
• Ability to analyse information sources and inform decision making.
• Familiarity with government project delivery frameworks and governance.
