Supply Chain Coordination Limited is seeking a Category Manager to join the NHS Supply Chain orthopaedics, trauma and spine team. You will lead category strategies, working with category leads and NHS customers to deliver measurable value.

The role requires agile thinking, a proactive mindset, and the ability to operate at pace within a complex healthcare environment, shaping strategies that enhance supply chain resilience and patient care.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in category management, procurement or supply chain in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to drive value, savings and performance.
• Analytical mindset with data-driven decision making.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a category plan in line with the commercial strategy, realising cost savings and reducing risk.
• Develop understanding of external developments and evaluate impact on the organisation.
• Resolve queries from customers or suppliers about complex processes and policies.
• Set clear objectives and present category plans to customers.
• Conduct primary data analysis to identify key themes and trends.
• Collaborate across functions to deliver a cohesive category approach (Inventory, Engage customers, Resilience, SRM, Sustainability).
