SF Recruitment are partnering with a growing business to appoint a Category Buyer who will support the development and delivery of the category sourcing strategy in Leeds. The role focuses on supplier management, cost optimisation, and ensuring supply continuity, working closely with senior procurement leadership to translate strategy into day-to-day delivery.

You will run RFQs/RFPs, negotiate pricing, manage contracts, build strong supplier relationships, and drive cost savings through sourcing

Qualifikationen

• Experience in procurement, sourcing, or buying.
• Commercially aware with a data-driven mindset.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communicator with a proactive, problem-solving approach.

Aufgaben

• Running RFQs/RFPs, negotiating pricing, and managing contracts
• Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships
• Driving cost savings through value engineering and sourcing initiatives
• Monitoring supplier performance across cost, quality, and delivery
• Supporting supply continuity and resolving any supply issues
• Tracking raw material pricing and identifying cost reduction opportunities
• Working cross-functionally with supply chain, planning, and logistics teams
