Job summary

Morrisons is seeking a proactive and analytical Accountant to join the Cash team. You’ll forecast the Group’s cash flow in the short and long term, analyse working capital impacts, and govern Capex decisions.

You will collaborate with Treasury and Finance Ops, contribute to annual budgeting, and translate data into actionable insights for stakeholders. A qualified accountant with strong Excel/SAP experience is required.

Qualifications

• A qualified accountant with strong analytical and commercial skills.
• Comfortable working with large data sets and financial systems (Excel and SAP or similar).
• Curious and proactive, with the confidence to question and explore the numbers behind the story.

Responsibilities

• Cash Flow Forecasting: manage weekly 13-week cash flow and variances; support short-term liquidity management with Treasury and Finance Ops.
• Long Term Budgeting and Forecasting: contribute to annual cash forecasts and updates, understand key cash drivers across the business.
• Working Capital & Improvement Plan: analyse working capital movements and support the improvement plan with weekly reporting.
• Capital Investment & Business Partnering: lead governance around Capex approvals and budget adherence.
