Job summary

Valayo is working with a leading London Market insurer to recruit a Capital Modelling Manager. This role blends technical modelling with strategic model use and broad stakeholder exposure, offering ownership of key areas of the Internal Model.

You'll collaborate with Underwriting, Reinsurance, Investment and Risk teams to apply capital analysis to decisions on portfolio mix, reinsurance structures and investment strategy.

Qualifications

• Qualified Actuaries with General Insurance experience.
• Experienced in capital modelling within the London Market.
• Able to interpret and challenge complex model outputs.
• Interested in strategic model use and portfolio optimisation.
• Strong communicators who enjoy working with stakeholders outside of Actuarial.
• Comfortable taking ownership of projects and supporting more junior team members.
• This would suit someone looking for a capital role where the model is genuinely used to influence business decisions, rather than being focused purely on regulatory production.

Responsibilities

• Translate model outputs into actionable business insights for senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Reinsurance, Investment and Risk teams.
• Take ownership of key areas of the Internal Model.
• Develop and coach other Capital team members.
• Present complex outputs and influence business decisions.
