Job summary

King Edward VII's Hospital in London is seeking a Capital Analyst to own the full capital expenditure lifecycle, govern CER processes, and provide robust reporting to support investment decisions. Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant is required - please list your qualification on your application.
• Strong finance experience with capital accounting, CAPEX reporting and capitalisation principles.
• Experience maintaining fixed asset registers and depreciation accounting.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to present to senior stakeholders.
• Analytical, with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the Capital Expenditure Request (CER) process with governance and controls.
• Prepare CAPEX summaries and reporting for senior leadership review.
• Guide budget holders on capital investment requirements and approvals.
• Lead monthly and year-end capital accounting activities and depreciation.
• Apply IFRS accounting treatment and maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
• Manage depreciation, asset transfers, disposals and write-offs.
• Produce CAPEX reporting, forecasts and variance analysis for management.
• Support investment planning with financial analysis and forecasting.
• Account for capitalisable project staff costs where appropriate.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen controls and reporting.
