Job summary

Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation is seeking a procurement professional in West Sussex to manage raw materials, assemblies and services flow. You will liaise with Engineering, Planning, Sales and Manufacturing to ensure on-time delivery and optimal inventory turns.

You will prepare weekly expedite reports, place purchase orders from ERP insights, and build strong supplier relationships. The role emphasizes ISO 9001/ISO 14001 compliance and ethical trading.

Qualifications

• CIPS Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong analytical capabilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute weekly expedite reports to supply chain partners.
• Analyse ERP exception messages and place purchase orders for timely delivery.
• Create document packs (electronic) for custom part orders (drawings, BOMs, Gerber files).
• Manage suppliers to control inventories and ensure flow of material.
• Develop knowledge of commodities and supplier base; learn ERP system.
• Propose process improvements to management and implement as needed.
• Travel may be required to meet project deadlines.
• Comply with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and health & safety management systems; support continuous improvement.
