Job summary

Market 36 Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Business Development Executive to join a growing commercial team in Feering, Essex. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will develop, progress and convert opportunities across new and existing service lines.

You will build strong client relationships, manage opportunities end-to-end, and collaborate with internal teams to scope and quote services. The role offers a clear path for progression and an uncapped OTE alongside a solid base salary.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a business development, sales or commercially focused role.
• Confident communicating with clients and building positive commercial relationships.
• Strong follow-up and opportunity management skills.
• Commercially aware with the ability to understand client needs and communicate service value effectively.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
• Able to work collaboratively with internal teams and escalate technical queries appropriately.
• Confident attending client calls and meetings.
• A proactive, driven and results-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a strong working understanding of agreed services.
• Support clients in understanding services, their value, the process and required next steps.
• Progress opportunities through follow-up, moving them towards instruction or closure.
• Maintain accurate records of opportunity status, client feedback and timelines.
• Identify opportunities for existing clients to benefit from services.
• Re-engage dormant accounts as directed by management.
• Work with internal teams to ensure services are scoped and quoted correctly.
• Respond to client questions within role scope and escalate technical matters as needed.
• Attend client calls, meetings and briefings to support opportunities.
• Report on activity, status, and client objections.
