Job summary

Southern Water is seeking a Strategic Programme Lead for its Bioresources portfolio. Hybrid role based in Falmer or Worthing with remote elements; you will own the business case, shape the execution plan and steer cross-functional teams across asset strategy, operations and finance to deliver a £300m-£400m programme.

You will engage with regulators and partners, manage risks, and champion innovation to improve environmental outcomes and customer value.

Qualifications

Proven track record leading major, complex programmes at scale.
Ability to influence senior stakeholders across functions.
Experience in utilities, infrastructure or regulated sectors.
Strong commercial awareness and investment appraisal skills.

Responsibilities

Lead development and delivery of Southern Water’s strategic Bioresources investment programmes.
Own the programme business case and ensure it aligns with objectives.
Create and assure the Strategic Programme Execution Plan with governance and gate processes.
Provide leadership across Asset Strategy, Operations, Engineering, Delivery, Commercial, Finance and Procurement.
Maintain momentum and balance cost, risk, performance and customer outcomes.
Lead market engagement with external partners on major capital investments.
Manage risks, opportunities, dependencies, milestones and performance measures.
Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, delivery partners and regulators.
