Job summary

Harrow Council in Greater London is seeking a highly skilled lead for public health behaviour change to deliver the MECC strategy and embed health improvement conversations across council services, health organisations and the voluntary sector.

You will develop engaging MECC training resources, deliver sessions and establish a train-the-trainer model to build capacity, while providing leadership for the Child Healthy Weight Programme across a network of providers and partners.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading complex public health behaviour change programmes with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of culturally sensitive, evidence-based and compassionate behaviour change approaches.
• Ability to design and deliver effective interventions for diverse communities.
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills with diverse groups.
• Experience coaching, mentoring and developing others.
• Excellent communication to translate health information clearly and trauma-informed.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Ability to identify improvement opportunities and drive change.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
