Job summary

The Royal Ballet and Opera invites applications for an Assistant Director for Costume and Wigs to join the senior management team. You will lead the Costume Department across all locations, owning budgets, strategy and staff development while collaborating closely with creatives and producers.

Qualifications

Proven track record in a senior management role within a major producing venue or organisation.
Strategic thinking and ability to influence at board/leadership level.
Strong understanding of costume production processes and large department operations.
Ability to lead and develop a large workforce across locations.
Experience managing budgets and reporting to senior management.

Responsibilities

Lead the Costume Department across all locations.
Own budgets and future strategy for costume, wigs and make-up.
Develop staff and manage a mix of permanent staff, casuals and freelancers.
Collaborate with creatives, directors and production teams to realise design aims.
Influence operations and cross-functional work to deliver high-quality performances.
