Job summary

Redditch Borough Council and Bromsgrove District Council are seeking a Group Manager – Strategic Assets to lead a multi-disciplinary team within Regeneration & Property Services. You will shape and govern the property and asset management function across both councils, ensuring safe, well-managed assets.

The role offers strategic leadership, operating model delivery, and driving performance in a pivotal local government reform period.

Qualifications

• Proven senior leadership in property, estates or asset management.
• Experience delivering capital programmes and facilities management.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with Councillors and partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead Strategic Assets and Property Service across two councils.
• Embed the new service structure and operating model.
• Provide strategic and technical leadership across a broad multidisciplinary service.
• Strengthen performance, resilience and value for money.
• Lead service improvement and local government reform preparation.
• Build strong relationships with senior managers, Councillors, partners and contractors.
