Job summary

Redditch Borough Council in partnership with Bromsgrove District Council seeks a Group Manager – Strategic Assets to lead a newly formed property and asset management function.

You will shape the operating model, balance performance with value for money and guide a broad team across repairs, facilities, capital programmes, engineering and compliance to deliver safe, well-managed assets for residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Leading, developing and motivating the Strategic Assets and Property Service.
• Embedding the new service structure, operating model and ways of working.
• Providing strategic and technical leadership across a broad multidisciplinary service.
• Strengthening performance, resilience, customer focus and value for money.
• Leading change, service improvement and preparation for local government reform.
• Building strong, trusted relationships with senior managers, Councillors, partners, contractors and stakeholders.
