Job summary

Affinity Water is seeking an Asset Modelling Lead to shape long-term investment strategy. You will develop and maintain asset investment modelling, translating data and deterioration models into auditable investment plans for PR29 and beyond.

You'll lead integration of data and work with IT, Vendors and stakeholders to inform regulatory submissions, risk/value decisions and capital planning over 5–25 years.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or related discipline.
• Experience with Python or R for modelling.
• Experience using Pioneer, Copperleaf or similar modelling tools.
• Understanding deterioration modelling and asset health for investment planning.
• Experience integrating asset, cost and performance data.
• Experience developing or implementing technical systems or tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data interpretation.
• Knowledge of SQL, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
• Understanding risk and value frameworks or decision analysis.

Responsibilities

• Steer development and enhancement of the asset investment modelling system.
• Maintain system configuration, documentation and governance compliance.
• Integrate asset, cost and performance data for accurate modelling.
• Support deterioration modelling, scenario analysis, forecasting and optimisation.
• Analyse outputs and translate data into actionable insights.
• Interface between Pioneer and Copperleaf and align with value/service frameworks.
• Collaborate with IT and vendors to improve the modelling system.
• Support governance, assurance and regulatory submissions.
