Job summary

NTT DATA UK & Ireland is seeking a Principal AI Architect to lead enterprise AI strategy, translating business problems into scalable AI solutions across data, models, and integration. You will partner with AI Consulting, Solution Architects, Delivery, Sales and partners to shape credible and commercially viable architectures.

The role requires deep experience in enterprise architecture, GenAI, and leadership, with a proven track record delivering high-value AI programs.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in enterprise/solution architecture or related roles.
• 5+ years designing or delivering AI, data science, ML, or intelligent automation solutions.
• 2+ years hands-on or architecture experience with GenAI, LLMs, RAG, AI agents, or orchestration frameworks.
• Deep understanding of AI architecture considerations including governance, security, and scalability.
• Experience leading architecture for complex client pursuits, large transformation programs, or multi-tower technology solutions.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture for complex AI pursuits from discovery through proposal, negotiation and win.
• Serve as a senior technical advisor to client executives and internal pursuit teams.
• Translate business problems into enterprise-scale AI solution designs across data, models, integration, security, and governance.
• Shape solution strategy across NTT DATA capabilities including consulting, data, cloud, and managed services.
• Create reusable architecture patterns, technical viewpoints, accelerators, and differentiated narratives.
• Conduct technical solution reviews, challenge assumptions, and reduce delivery risk before deals.
• Guide PoC and MVP design to scale prototypes into production programs.
• Mentor AI Solution Architects and support capability-building across the AI architecture community.
• Surface architecture gaps, delivery risks, and emerging tech needs to AI GTM leadership.
