Central East Integrated Care Board seeks a Lead Actuary to drive actuarial leadership across the Strategic Value Unit and Population Health Unit, guiding strategic commissioning, planning and stewardship of ICB resources.

You will translate evidence from actuarial analyses into practical recommendations for strategic planning, payment and risk arrangements, influencing major decisions and ensuring professional standards are maintained.

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary with Fellowship of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, or an equivalent internationally recognised actuarial qualification.
• Evidence of current continuing professional development and compliance with relevant actuarial professional standards.
• Evidence of wider contribution to the actuarial or analytical profession.

Responsabilités

• Lead actuarial work from problem definition to modelling, assurance, interpretation and implementation.
• Lead complex actuarial modelling of population need, service demand, utilisation, outcomes, expenditure and financial risk.
• Apply scenario and probabilistic methods to quantify future outcomes and uncertainty.
• Advise on commissioning and payment approaches with population-based budgets and risk-sharing.
• Integrate actuarial evidence with other disciplines to inform recommendations and monitoring.
• Line manage staff and develop actuarial capability across the team.
