What will you be doing?

The objective of the role is to drive sales by establishing new distribution routes, specifically targeting online ASHP and boiler distribution outlets, working with legislation changes and creating competitive advantage for future growth. The Strategic Account Manager will investigate, source, and build new accounts to work closely with the accounts once open to gain insight into the customers' growth plans on relevant products to ensure the BUK business is aligned with said growth.

The role will consist of account management of the new customer accounts, identifying full year forecasts, forecasting accuracy, and working closely with the production team in the planning of the customer requirements for new and recently opened accounts.

A close working relationship across multiple disciplines within the business is paramount, and as such, a large proportion of the account manager's role will focus on working with NDP, quality, production, logistics, and finance.

On a Daily Basis You'll Be Responsible For
  • Identifying, researching, and targeting new accounts for incremental growth of our products.
  • Understanding the customers' business, their objectives, and ensuring value-based selling is at the heart of the relationship.
  • Developing and executing individual business plans, both strategic and tactical, for each account.
  • Developing a joint product roadmap.
  • Setting key performance indicators (KPIs) with the accounts based on metrics that provide efficiency, value, governance, and compliance.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute account strategies aligned with the company's objectives.
  • Achieving sales and margin targets for each account in line with expectations.
  • Ensuring compliance to trading agreements from both parties.
  • Liaising with all departments within the accounts to ensure the customer journey meets expectations.
  • Building the Key Account Model to assist with daily account management.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts, maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring customer terms and support plans align with trading plans and growth objectives.
  • Monitoring budget utilization and tracking spending for support, marketing, and promotions.
  • Using forecasting tools to generate sales forecasts and inventory projections.
  • Monitoring inventory levels, sales data, and stock availability to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Conducting regular business reviews with key accounts.
  • Identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Providing updates to the Head of Strategic Partners on account performance and initiatives.
  • Staying informed about industry trends and competitor activities to anticipate customer needs and inform strategies.
About You
