Job summary

NELFT NHS Foundation Trust in Brookside Acute Services is seeking a part-time STR Worker/OT assistant to support the Young People’s Home Treatment Team. The role involves assisting nurses and occupational therapists with assessments, planning and delivery of care for young people, and supporting students and staff within the team.

Under supervision, you will contribute to collaborative care, participate in multidisciplinary planning, and help promote recovery and independence in service users

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting assessment and care delivery for young people.
• Ability to work under supervision from a Nurse or Occupational Therapist.
• Commitment to collaborative working with health and social professionals.

The post holder will achieve this by:

Under supervision and guidance from a qualified Nurse or Occupational Therapist, the post holder will support the assessment, planning, and delivery of care to young people within groups and individually. The post holder will contribute to the development of the team and support their peers and the team lead. The post holder will support students and other staff within the team as required. They will have a commitment to collaborative working and actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals and agencies.
