We have a vacancy for a Trust Specialty Registrar in Neurosurgery, on a fixed-term contract starting as soon as possible for an initial period of 6 months. The possibility of extension beyond this period is likely if progress is satisfactory. The South West Neurosurgery Centre is based at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth. The unit is a Major Trauma Centre providing comprehensive neurosurgical services to the population of Devon and Cornwall. The area has an approximate population of 1.8 million, which increases during the summer months due to visitors from across the UK and abroad. The centre maintains close links with district general hospitals in Truro, Barnstaple, Exeter, and Torbay. This role offers excellent experience for aspiring neurosurgical trainees.
