NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday
As an STP trainee in Audiology you will be employed on a 3 year contract as a band 6 Audiologist and will be supernumerary to the team. Attendance at University for an MSc in Audiology is included in the training. Applications are invited from existing BSc qualified Audiologists.
We are the largest Paediatric Audiology Department in Scotland and provide a wide variety of Audiology services including electrophysiology, implantable hearing aids and vestibular assessment. We cover the entire NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde area. The main base will be at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow, but trainees may be expected to travel to other sites if required for training. Within the organisation we have excellent working relationships with our 9 ENT Consultants and Audiovestibular Physician. We have close links with other hospital Healthcare Science professions and local services such as Education, Speech and Language Therapy. This is a training hospital with access to a library on site, and we have existing links with other departments where the trainee will do their rotations.
Expected MSc university location - may be subject to change University of Manchester Expected course start is September 2025 Attendance at University has supported funding for fees, travel and accommodation.
