Hiring immediately in Westminster, CO!

Position: Stormwater Equipment Operator

Location: Shop located in Westminster, CO

Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00+ per hour, based on experience and qualifications (Full-Time)

85% travel is typical for this position. We offer travel reimbursements and $68 per diem!

Are you seeking a career in stormwater utilities and water/wastewater management? We are looking for a candidate with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in these areas, particularly within industrial or commercial sites. You should excel at interpreting plan sets, be proficient in operating heavy equipment, and have a solid understanding of OSHA safety regulations. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform repairs and construction on vital stormwater infrastructure, underground utilities, concrete structures, and stormwater basins throughout the Northeast states.
  2. Utilize hand-held tools, power tools, and heavy construction equipment, including skid loaders, excavators, and dozers.
  3. Take advantage of travel opportunities during the week, exploring various locations while making a significant impact.
  4. Learn and develop pioneering construction and regulatory compliance techniques.
  5. Document field observations to contribute to project success and continuous improvement.
  6. Ensure the highest safety standards on every project, protecting yourself and your team.

Desired Qualifications:

  1. Education: GED, High School Diploma, or equivalent experience.
  2. Experience: 2 to 4 years in construction.
  3. Expertise: Experience with the repair and construction of stormwater infrastructure, concrete structures, rebar and concrete finishing, underground piping, and detention/retention basins is a plus.
  4. Travel: Willing to travel Monday through Friday, with 85% travel expected.
  5. Driving: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  6. Skills: Competent in operating construction equipment, power tools, and concrete hand tools. Basic understanding of plans and specs, and knowledge of stormwater, sediment, and erosion control.
  7. Safety and Compliance: Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and familiarity with DOT requirements for pickups and equipment trailers.
