The Stores Supervisor will be responsible for running a first-class Logistics & Stores department at our Bembridge manufacturing site. Ensuring the stores is run in a safe, secure, efficient, and effective manner whilst also ensuring required tooling and equipment are maintained and readily available for shop floor technicians in accordance with company procedures and CAA regulations.

As well as day to day management and supervision of Bembridge stores staff and accountability for all stores activity, including Health & Safety, security, stock deviation reporting and efficient and effective use of the stores space, the Stores Supervisor will need to comply with CAA compliance under Part 21G, so that all items are monitored, tracked and stored to the correct quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Day to Day management and supervision of Bembridge stores and staff.
  • Responsible for ensuring stores staff are trained in, and have access to, all relevant company procedures, and that these are adhered to at all times.
  • Ensure the bonded and quarantine store is maintained in accordance with relevant regulations under CAA Part 21G and Company Procedures.
  • Ensure control and receipting in of all parts into the bonded store, including inspection of incoming release paperwork in accordance with company procedures and CAA regulation.
  • Ensure the stores area is tidy and maintained to a high standard in accordance with company procedures and CAA regulations.
  • Carry out regular checks of shelf-life controlled parts in stock.
  • Carry out regular checks of the store’s temperature monitoring.
  • Control and maintain levels of consumable stock and POL.
  • Ensure all calibrations are carried out in accordance with company procedures and meets CAA regulation.
  • Ensure all company tooling is controlled in accordance with company procedures and that calibration periods of calibrated tooling and equipment is not exceeded.
  • Control the issue and return of specialist tooling and carry out regular audits of the tool store, and tooling.
Stock Control
  • Supervise all stock control.
  • Carry out goods inward inspection of parts receipted into the stores.
  • Supervise regular stock and audit checks of all items held in the stores.
  • Pack items for shipment, contacting the courier/freight provider as appropriate to satisfy demands.
  • Carry out regular stock checks and audits of the stores.
Reporting
  • Provide monthly calibration and tooling reports to the management.
  • Provide regular Quarantine audit reports to the management team.
  • Run weekly & monthly stock deviation reports via our MRP system as to monitor stock accuracy levels,
  • Process efficiency and scrap/quarantine rate alongside our production controller.
Safety
  • Ensure all tooling and equipment is safe to use and not damaged.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • At least 2 years of managing stores or warehouse environments, including the management of MRP systems (Aerotrac knowledge would be advantageous).
  • People management skills including coaching & developing a stores team and it’s processes.
  • Experience working in the aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, or similar industries.
  • Ability to maintain accurate stock control records.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Good technical/engineering understanding
  • Effective time and task management
