Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Stores Shift Leader for a large prestigious manufacturing & logistics company based in Tamworth.

This is a permanent role working rotating shifts – Monday to Friday.

Shift hours: 06:00am - 2:00pm and 2:00pm – 10:15pm (early finish on Fridays).

Pay rate: £13.50 per hour + Shift Allowance (£16.20 per hour).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the warehouse and logistics team through coaching and mentoring.
• Manage daily operations of a small warehouse and stores team.
• Set and organize daily targets to meet production demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Implement solutions for continuous improvement to enhance business and customer service standards.
• Ensure accurate processing and delivery of shipments to the correct contacts.
• Ensure all team members adhere to health & safety rules and company procedures.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in all areas.
• Collaborate closely with the Warehouse and Logistics Manager to support warehouse orders and stock movements.

Experience Required

• Minimum of 2 years leading or managing a team.
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
• Experience in setting targets and motivating teams to achieve them.
• Proven ability to build structured and organized teams.
• Leadership skills with experience in delivering in-house training.
• Track record of coaching and inspiring high performance.
• IT literacy, with good understanding of Excel and MRP/ERP systems.
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and accurate.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
