  • Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary to Permanent
  • Annual Salary: GBP25,200

We are seeking a dedicated Stores Person to join our team. This role is crucial for supporting the production process by preparing kits for assembly, managing stock, and assisting with dispatch. The ideal candidate will be a driver, aged over 25, to comply with our Business Insurance requirements.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Kitting & Stock Handling:
    • Pick and prepare electronic and mechanical components into sub-assembly kits.
    • Place received items into designated stock locations with appropriate protection to maintain quality.
    • Assist with general material control and participate in stock-takes.
  • Goods Inwards:
    • Receive and inspect incoming goods.
    • Accurately record deliveries and report any discrepancies or damages.
  • Logistics & Dispatch:
    • Deliver and collect items from local suppliers.
    • Support the Dispatch team in packing goods as required.
  • General:
    • Manage workload under the supervision of the Production Supervisor.
    • Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
    • Report shortages, rejects, or quality issues promptly.
    • Follow all Health & Safety regulations as outlined in the Company Rulebook.
    • Carry out other reasonable tasks as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to follow formal procedures and work instructions.
  • Basic computer skills, particularly for viewing stock control systems.
  • Willingness to learn and operate stores equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physically fit to carry stock
  • Full UK driving license, with the candidate being over 25 years old for insurance purposes.
Benefits:
  • Annual leave: 27 days
  • Working hours: 39.5 hours a week - 8.15-4.45pm Mon - Thu, Fri finish 4.15pm, 30 mins lunch
  • Opportunity for permanent position following the temporary phase
