Job summary

SMT seeks a Stores Person to join our Duxford depot on a fixed-term basis for six months. You will support receipting, storage and dispatch of parts, ensuring stock accuracy and contributing to a safe, organised warehouse environment.

Ideal candidates have warehouse or logistics experience, strong numerical skills and a customer service orientation. A forklift license and UK driving licence are desirable, and hours are standard warehouse shifts.

• Receive, inspect and book in stock from suppliers, ensuring accuracy and completeness

• Maintain accurate stock records, including regular stock checks and reconciliations
• Ensure all items are stored correctly, labelled appropriately and easy to locate
• Support general warehouse duties, including housekeeping and adherence to health and safety

About The Role

We are looking for a Stores Person to be based from our Duxford depot on a fixed-term basis. This role plays a key part in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse, supporting the accurate receipting, storage and dispatch of parts. You will help maintain stock accuracy, support internal teams and customers, and contribute to a safe and organised working environment.

Key responsibilities

You will support the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring all stock movements and processes are completed accurately and efficiently in line with company standards.

• Thursday: 09:30 - 17:30
• Friday: 09:30 - 17:00
