Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Stores Operative to join an engineering client in Havant. This role involves kit preparation, packing, and maintenance of the stores, with a pay rate of £12.21 - £12.50 per hour. The ideal candidate has experience in electronic manufacturing stores and strong attention to detail. This position offers a day shift from Monday to Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm.

Holt Engineering Recruitment is seeking a Stores Operative to join one of their engineering clients based in Havant.

As a Stores Person, you will play a crucial role within the stores, supporting the business in the upkeep and organisation of the onsite stores.

The key responsibilities for the Stores Operative include:

1. Kit preparation for the production team
2. Packing for distribution to production
3. Organising and maintaining the stores and all physical stocks
4. Ensuring all parts are stored and issued correctly to avoid damage
5. Following all Health & Safety guidelines
6. Inputting data into computers
7. Following instructions for picking & packing

To be successful as a Stores Operative, you must:

1. Have experience working within electronic manufacturing stores (desirable)
2. Have kitting or picking & packing experience
3. Possess a high level of attention to detail
4. Be PC literate
5. Have accurate data entry and stock check experience
6. Be able to read and follow instructions for picking & packing

This is a temporary to permanent role, working a day shift Monday to Friday, 8am - 4:30pm.

The Stores Person role offers a pay rate of £12.21 - £12.50 per hour (depending on experience).
