Role: Stores Person

Location: Cheltenham

Salary: £30,000

Working Hours: 14:00 – 23:30, Monday to Thursday

This market-leading engineering company is recruiting for a Stores Person to join their site in Cheltenham. The company manufactures and supplies a range of specialist products to various industries worldwide.

Your role will involve carrying out operational tasks associated with a busy logistics operation, including goods receipt, put away, picking, packing, loading, dispatching, stock counting, and discrepancy investigation.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform key tasks across the full logistics operation, including Goods Receiving Bay (GRB), Stores, and Distribution Centre (DC).
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with logistics and business teams to ensure excellent customer service.
  3. Process customer orders to meet production and delivery targets.
  4. Use MRP systems and computerized databases to ensure transaction accuracy and timeliness.
  5. Handle routine duties related to recycling and waste disposal.
  6. Operate all material handling equipment (MHE) across the logistics department.
  7. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and projects.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Stores, Logistics, or Warehouse roles.
  • Forklift license is beneficial; training will be provided if needed.
