Job summary

Thales Group is seeking a Service Operator to join the Stores Team at Crossgar (with Belfast option). The role is for an initial 12-month period and requires UK nationality with SC security clearance, or the ability to obtain it before starting.

Responsibilities span kitting, materials handling, and production support. The role offers the chance to work across stores, production control and material handling duties, with opportunities to participate in continuous improvement and to develop

Qualifications

• Experience with stores and materials handling in a production environment.
• Ability to perform kitting and update computer systems per procedures.
• Familiarity with lean principles and 5S/housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Mobility across stores, production control and material handling duties.
• Maintain and care for equipment, tools and materials.
• Kit materials for production programmes and update records.
• Receive materials and update systems per procedures.
• Package and despatch materials to customers/sites as required.
• Operate tool management system to ensure consumables are available.
• Perform cycle counts to ensure MRP data accuracy.
• Maintain storehouse housekeeping in line with Lean/BI(T) principles.
• Operate vehicles and material handling equipment as needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
