Thales Group in Crossgar is seeking a Service Operator to join our Stores Team for an initial 12-month period. You will be responsible for kitting, receiving, updating MRP systems, and despatch of materials to support production programmes.

The role requires the ability to move across stores and production controls while maintaining high standards of safety and housekeeping. Applicants should be UK nationals with the potential to obtain SC clearance, or already held.

Qualifications

• UK national with ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC) without caveats, or willingness to undergo and obtain SC clearance prior to starting.
• Flexibility and mobility across stores, production control and material handling duties.

Responsabilités

• Kitting of materials in support of production programmes and updating computer systems as per procedures.
• Receipt of materials and accurate update of systems; packing and despatch of materials to customers/sites as required.
• Operate tool management system to ensure consumables are available; perform cycle counts for data accuracy.
• Maintain housekeeping in stores areas and participate in continuous improvement programmes.

If approved by the MOD, a dual national from a non-ITAR country may be considered. To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. Job Content* Total flexibility and mobility across all stores, production control and material handling duties and across all general duties; + Minor machine / equipment maintenance + The care and security off all equipment, tools and materials within the operator’s sphere of operation.* Kitting of materials in support of production programmes and the accurate update of computer systems as per operating procedures* Receipt of all materials into the company and the accurate update of systems as per operating procedures.* Packaging and despatch of materials and products to Customers and sites as is required.* Operation of tool management system to ensure adequate and accurate levels of consumables are available to support production.* Perform cycle counts to ensure data accuracy and integrity of MRP System.* Ensure housekeeping of all stores areas in line with Lean and BiT principles.* Operation of vehicles and material handling equipment as necessary.* Positive participation in continuous improvement programme.* Undergo training for various tasks and achieving capability to perform within a reasonable time period.* Familiarising other operatives in most cost effective ways to perform tasks. **Benefits at Thales** We strive to create an environment where you can prioritise your wellbeing and have designed our benefits to give you the flexibility and power to do so.
