Stores Operative
Location: HMP Standford Hill, Isle of Sheppey, ME12 4AA
Salary: £16,122.32 per annum
Contract: Part Time, 22.5hrs a week, Permanent

We are seeking a dedicated Stores Operative to join our team at HMP Standford Hill, a CAT D Men's prison.

HMP Standford Hill operates like a self-contained town, requiring hundreds of staff to keep it functioning. Our Facilities Maintenance Team is committed to ensuring smooth and safe operations, impacting prisoners, staff, visitors, families, and the community.

As a Stores Operative, you will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to maintaining a safe and secure environment.

We are a Ministry of Justice business providing critical services to HMPPS, seeking a Stores Operative with any of the following qualifications:

1. Fork Lift Truck Certificate
2. Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
3. Full driving license, preferably with D1
4. HGV Licence
5. Up-to-date First Aid at Work Qualification
6. Good Health & Safety knowledge
7. Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills
