Job description

A manufacturing company in Oxford is looking for a Stores Operative / Logistics Coordinator to work in their busy dispatch / stores team in a great team.

This is a very hands-on role and as such you will need to be proactive, highly motivated, organised
and have good communication skills.
You will be working as part of a small team in a fast-paced environment, and you need to
be physically fit as some heavy lifting may be required and certain roles require a
number of steps a day.
Previous work with forklifts would be advantageous in this role or training will be given.
The role

  • To receive and inspect goods against delivery notes for accuracy and damages
  • Notify relevant staff of any shortages and any damaged goods received and await further instruction
  • Putting received stock away in relevant locations or assigning overflow locations
  • Ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded
  • Unloading of vehicles for goods being received
  • Timely issuing and kitting of materials to the production in line with production schedules.
  • Kitting to Sub-assembly and dealing with queries at the hatch from other business units
  • The continuous audit of all stock by periodic cycle counting.
  • Responsible for the security, control and movement of raw material stock.
  • Loading/unloading trucks and moving stock using a forklift in dispatch were
  • needed.

Qualifications and Experience

  • You must be computer literate and have the ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation.
  • SAP Knowledge is desirable
  • You must have experience of stockroom and dispatch procedures, preferably gained in a manufacturing environment.

Monday to Friday, 8 - 4.30pm, 40 hours per week, c 27k + Healthcare & Pension.
Due to the rural location near Oxford you need to have your own transport.
