Job summary

ESCO Maritime is seeking a Stores Operative to join the Stores department. The candidate will handle receipt, issue and dispatch of materials from a bonded storage facility while ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications.

The role requires accurate stock control, adherence to processes and security vetting. National security restrictions apply; British nationals preferred. IR35 status noted as Inside IR35.

Qualifications

• Certificate of secondary education is required.
• Good knowledge of stores procedures.
• Basic numeracy skills are required.
• Experience with MRP/WMS systems.
• ESD awareness is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate within a stores environment and undertake all stores functions.
• Provide a counter service for issue / return of materials.
• Conduct stringent checks on receipted goods.
• Report non-conformities to Supply Chain personnel.
• Organise and package goods for dispatch.
• Undertake perpetual stock counts.
• Drive Forklift reach truck and company vehicles.

Job description

ESCO is looking to recruit a Stores Operative within the Stores department. Reporting to the Stores Team Leader, the successful candidate will be self-motivated and flexible with the ability to undertake a diverse range of tasks within the role.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake the accurate receipt, issue and dispatch of bought in materials, both mechanical and electrical, from a bonded storage facility whilst adhering to strict processes and protocols. The candidate will also be required to verify materials comply to drawings, company and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• To operate within a stores environment and undertake all stores functions.
• Provide a counter service for issue / return of materials.
• Provide stringent checks and inspections on receipted goods.
• To report all non-conformities to the relevant Supply Chain personnel.
• Organise and package goods for dispatch.
• Undertake perpetual stock counts.
• Driving of Forklift reach truck and company vehicles.

Qualifications / Skills Required

• Certificate of secondary education.
• Good knowledge of all aspects of stores procedures.
• Sound basic education with numerical skills.
• MRP/WMS Business System usage.
• ESD – Electrostatic awareness.
