Overview

We're looking for a Production Stores Operative to play a vital role in keeping our manufacturing operations running smoothly at NP Aerospace. This role exists to ensure that materials, components, and finished parts flow efficiently through our production environment supporting programmes that deliver life‑saving equipment to customers around the world. You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy hands‑on work, take pride in accuracy and organisation, and understand how critical stores and logistics are to production success. Your contribution will directly support on‑time delivery, production efficiency, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing: In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring materials and components are received, stored, and issued accurately to support production schedules. You will manage incoming deliveries, book stock into our business systems, and move items safely to the correct storage locations, ensuring traceability and accuracy at every step. You will work closely with production teams by issuing materials to work orders and preparing kits ahead of build schedules, helping manufacturing teams stay productive and on track. You will also support stock control activities, resolve discrepancies with Purchasing and Finance, and help maintain accurate system data. Alongside this, you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, organised, and safe stores environment, operating FLT equipment where required and working collaboratively across departments to keep production moving efficiently.

Qualifications
  • Experience working in a warehouse, stores, logistics, or materials handling environment
  • A valid Forklift Truck licence (Counterbalance, Reach, or Bendi)
  • Willingness and flexibility to work a rotating 3‑shift system
  • Good IT skills and experience using stock or warehouse management systems (QAD desirable)
  • A methodical, accurate approach to handling materials and data
  • Strong organisational skills and a commitment to safe working practices
  • A positive, dependable, and team‑focused attitude
