Job description

Metrail Construction Ltd is one of the UK’s leading specialist contractors, focusing on concrete repair, bridge deck waterproofing, bridge deck expansion joints, and slab stabilisation.

Tasks

We’re looking for a proactive and hands-on Stores Manager to take full responsibility for managing stock and plant. Based at our logistics hub in Snaith, you’ll be an essential part of a busy team, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

This role is a mix of office and yard work, so you’ll be just as comfortable coordinating stock in the system as you are physically loading and unloading vehicles. Keeping the yard and stores area clean, organised, and hazard-free will be a key part of your role. You’ll also be responsible for picking and preparing materials and equipment for major projects across the UK.

Regular stock checks and audits will be crucial to maintaining accurate inventory records, and you’ll need a keen eye for spotting any discrepancies. Working in a fast-paced, reactive environment, you’ll need to stay organised, prioritise tasks effectively, and remain calm under pressure—all while working closely with the Operations Manager.

As with any role at Metrail, health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance will be at the heart of everything you do.
