Overview: We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Stores Manager. The role will hold responsibilities across all aspects of Capability development. The function is to ensure support for Design Organisation (DO), Production Organisation (PO) and Maintenance Organisation (MO) regarding procurement and stores activities.

Responsibilities
  1. Maintaining Production and Maintenance stores facilities including goods received, goods allocated, item returns, goods out and quarantine with specific responsibility for the control, incoming inspection of components, parts, materials, tools and equipment, the related classification, segregation and storage according to the manufacturer’s recommendations and any CAA and additional authority regulations.
  2. Managing the upkeep and maintenance of bonded stores including, the cleanliness and tidiness of all Stores areas. Correct storage and segregation of items within the Stores with reference to MSDS, COSHH, manual handling and working at height regulations.
  3. Monitor stock usage and work closely with Head of Procurement in ensuring appropriate stock is in place to cover all approvals and multiple sites.
  4. Manage and monitor paperwork issues and resolutions, liaising with CAP DEV Compliance Department wherever necessary, ensuring any items are processed quickly and efficiently.
  5. Effective and efficient day-to-day running of the Bonded stores across multiple sites including Line Stations, providing stores personnel with workload priorities.
  6. Periodically reviewing Stores procedures and processes against the norms of working and regulatory requirements to identify anomalies or omissions. Draft revised Stores procedures and processes for effectiveness and compliance prior to approval by the Cap Dev Compliance Department.
  7. Responsible for the creation, monitoring and analysis of KPIs relevant to the Stores Department, to be reported monthly.
  8. Upon request provide data for meetings on store activities, issues and problems, with suggested improvements.
  9. Understand and be able to effectively operate the maintenance control software.
  10. Mentoring and oversight of staff members to drive improvements in personal development to ensure an effective Stores team, performing annual appraisals on the Stores personnel.
Qualifications
  1. Stores background, preferably within aviation/aerospace with experience working within a bonded store.
  2. Experience working within a Part 145 MRO is desirable along with sound knowledge of aviation regulations relevant to the role.
  3. Must demonstrate attention to detail.
  4. Good communicator with a polite and courteous manner.
  5. IT literate preferably with experience in MRO software systems.
  6. Able to work as a team. Able to work under pressure within deadlines.
  7. Any qualification in ‘dangerous goods’ would be highly desirable.
