Job summary

Pertemps Black Country Perms is seeking a Stores & Logistics Coordinator to join our busy operations team. The role combines administration with hands-on warehouse duties, including stock control and despatch. A valid FLT licence is essential, and experience with SAP is beneficial.

You will handle receiving, storage, picking, packing and arranging transport, while maintaining accurate records and providing excellent customer service. Monday to Friday with a Friday finish, office-based in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Load outbound trailers using a forklift and monitor shipment progress.

Are you an organised individual who enjoys a varied role combining administration with hands-on warehouse duties? Do you have a valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment?

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading global engineering business for a Stores & Logistics Coordinator to join their busy operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is equally comfortable working on a computer as they are moving stock, loading vehicles and supporting warehouse operations.

This role is approximately 60% administration and 40% manual warehouse duties, so we're looking for someone who is physically fit, organised and confident using computer systems.

As Stores & Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth receipt, storage and despatch of parts and equipment whilst maintaining accurate stock records and providing excellent customer service.

Your duties will include:

• Receiving and checking deliveries.
• Unpacking and distributing goods to the relevant departments.
• Booking stock into the warehouse and updating inventory using SAP (full training provided).
• Picking, packing and despatching customer orders.
• Arranging UK and international transport for customer deliveries and workshop shipments.
• Preparing shipping documentation, including commercial invoices where required.
• Loading outbound trailers and vehicles using a forklift.
• Monitoring shipment progress and resolving delivery delays with freight companies.
• Providing shipment updates to internal teams to ensure customers are kept informed.
• Running weekly stock reports and ordering required parts.
• Assisting with stock takes and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Ensuring waste materials and scrapped goods are disposed of safely and in line with environmental regulations.
• Supporting the wider operations team with additional duties as required.

What We're Looking For

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence .
• Physically fit and happy carrying out manual handling duties.
• Previous warehouse, stores or logistics experience.
• Strong administration and organisational skills.
• Good IT skills with confidence using computer systems (SAP experience advantageous but not essential).
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work.
