Job summary

MERITUS is recruiting a Manufacturing Controller to join the Stores team in Bolton. The role involves issue, receipt and management of stores and inventory, loading work packages, and monitoring in a defence manufacturing environment.

The position is Inside IR35, £25.38–£26.70 per hour, 37 hours per week, starting in 2 months, with a 12-month contract highly likely to extend in Bolton, UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in a stores environment or manufacturing control.

• Lifting & Slinging training (Including overhead cranes).

Responsibilities

• Stock control / storekeeping including shelf life control.
• Loading the manufacturing cells with the requisite jobs in accordance with planned lead and cycle times, in order to comply with manufacturing programmes and delivery schedules.
• Packing including the use of hand tools. Receiving and issuing of tooling.
• Updating computer records.
• Kitting activity.
• Loading and unloading of Lorries.

MANUFACTURING CONTROLLER - INSIDE IR35 - £25.38 PER HOUR (RISING TO £26.70 PER HOUR) - 12 MONTHS (VERY LIKELY TO EXTEND) - BOLTON, UK - SECTOR: DEFENCE

HOURS: 37 Hours Per Week

TIME TO START: 2 Months

The Manufacturing Controller role will involve issue, receipt and management of stores and inventory in a stores environment. Loading, control and monitoring of work packages in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Stock control / storekeeping including shelf life control.
• Loading the manufacturing cells with the requisite jobs in accordance with planned lead and cycle times, in order to comply with manufacturing programmes and delivery schedules.
• Packing including the use of hand tools. Receiving and issuing of tooling.
• Updating computer records.
• Kitting activity.
• Loading and unloading of Lorries.

Skillset/experience required

• Experience in a stores environment or manufacturing control.
