Job summary

AirX Jet Support Ltd. is seeking a Stores Controller for the Stansted base to oversee purchasing, shipping, inventory, warehousing and delivery within AirX Charter premises.

The role involves daily stores operations, receiving and inspecting aircraft parts, ensuring proper handling and regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvements while supporting customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores/quality inspection.
• Aviation logistics experience is an asset.
• Proactive and able to work independently and in a team.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• UK driving license required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day stores operations at Stansted.
• Receive and inspect aircraft parts per procedures.
• Ensure proper material handling and storage per regulations.
• Route dispatched items via carriers, heed dangerous goods rules.
• Perform inventory control and monitor shelf-life items.
• Create documentation and maintain logs/archives.
• Dispose of waste in line with regulations.
• Maintain tidy workspace and optimise space.
• Drive company vehicles as required; support continuous improvements.
• Support internal and external customers with high service levels.

Job description

We are a dynamically growing company in the Air Chartering business with a diverse fleet operating on a world-wide level. AirX is an international company offering exposure to various markets and jurisdictions from around the world.

Due to our continuous growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Stores Controller to join AirX Charter base having its stores located in Stansted, UK, as part of AirX Jet Support premises. The Stores Controller will be reporting directly to the Head of AXC Stores & Stock.

The Stores Controller is responsible to oversee activities including purchasing, shipping and transportation, inventory, warehousing, and delivery.

Main duties (What will you do)

• Day to day running of Malta Stores at Stansted.
• Receiving and inspecting a wide range of aircraft parts in line with operational procedures.
• Ensuring correct material handling and storage conditions are maintained in line with regulation standards.
• Ensuring all dispatched items are routed via the appropriate carriers paying particular attention to the carriage of dangerous goods.
• Performing inventory control, paying particular attention to shelf-life items.
• Creating documentation and maintaining logs and archive files.
• Ensuring that the control and disposal of waste products are in line with company and environmental regulations.
• Keeping a clean and tidy working environment while optimising space utilisation.
• To constantly seek operational improvements to maximise productivity and minimise cost.
• Ensuring the best level of service is offered and maintained for both internal and external customers.
• Control core return processes.
• Driving of company vehicles.
• Flexible to work different shift patterns as determined by the Company.
• Perform any other duties within your capabilities as directed by the Company.

Required Experience

• Stores Inspection/Quality.
• Experience in logistics environment within the Aviation industry would be considered as an asset.
• Ability to work on own initiative and within a team.
• Previous experience with regards to Quality Inspection.
• Computer literate with experience in ERP software and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• In possession of UK Driving License.
