Your companyHays Recruitment is currently recruiting a stores assistant who must have a Counterbalance Forklift licence to work for a client based in Wandsworth. The role is long-term, with ongoing work opportunities. This is a great chance for the successful candidate to secure a long-term position within a supportive team environment.

Your new role

• Work 35/36 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
• Start work at 7:30am
• Serve tradespeople and the trades team with materials from the stores
• Issue stock and monitor usage using computers
• Manage deliveries and log them into the system
• Keep the workspace and surrounding areas tidy and safe
• Operate the counterbalance forklift to access materials on shelves

What you'll need to succeed

• A valid counterbalance forklift licence
• Good computer skills for stock and inventory management
• Customer-facing skills to communicate with different departments
• Good time management skills to ensure smooth operations
