Job summary

Gooch & Housego seeks a Stores Person at our Torquay warehouse to contribute to accurate, timely, and safe goods handling. You will load, pack, label, store inventory and support order fulfilment as part of a collaborative team.

The role requires reliability, attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Applicants must be capable of lifting heavy objects and maintaining high quality standards in line with company procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment would be useful.
• Proven working experience as a Warehouse Worker.
• Proficiency in inventory software, databases and systems.
• Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
• Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store).
• Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation.
• Complete diary logs into inventory.
• Report any discrepancies.
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers.
• Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment.
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
