As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a Stores/Assembly Operative to play a key role in the day-to-day running of Racelogic’s UK warehouse facility, located at our UK offices in Buckingham.

With a strong emphasis on accuracy, care, and dependability, the Stores/Assembly Operative plays a crucial hands-on role within the Stores team, handling every aspect of daily store operations, from goods-in inspection and stock control to mechanical assembly work.

Responsibilities and Duties

Picking, Packing & Despatch

• Pick and pack high-value quality products for despatch accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure products are packaged to the required standard to protect them during transit.
• Process outgoing shipments, including customer setup, document and certificate checks, firmware updates, and final functional checks.
• Maintain a tidy and organised picking and packing area.

Goods-In & Stock Control

• Receive incoming deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Carry out goods-in inspection, checking deliveries against purchase orders and flagging discrepancies.
• Ensure stock is stored correctly and that stock records are kept accurate and up to date.
• Support stock rotation and assist with stock audits and cycle counts.
• Identify and report any stock discrepancies, damage, or shortages promptly.

Mechanical Assembly

• Carry out mechanical assembly work as required, following defined procedures and quality standards.
• Support product testing activities where applicable.
• Maintain workmanship standards and take responsibility for the quality of completed assembly work.
• Report any assembly issues, defects, or quality concerns to the Stores Manager.

General & Teamwork

• Work as an effective and cooperative member of the Stores team, supporting colleagues as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment at all times.
• Follow health and safety procedures and report any hazards or concerns.
• Any other duties as required.

About You

• Previous experience working in a stores, warehouse, or goods-in environment.
• A reliable, organised, and practical approach, with meticulous attention to detail and a flexible, can-do attitude.
• Ability to follow processes and procedures consistently and accurately.
• Confident computer skills, with experience using stock systems, barcode scanners, label printers, email, and shared folders, and the ability to pick up new software quickly.
• Physical capability to carry out manual handling tasks, including receiving and unloading deliveries.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Experience in mechanical assembly or product testing would be an advantage, though it is not essential.
