Job summary

Kraken Robotics, Inc. is seeking a diligent Stores & Stock Controller to support production and sales from our UK facility. You will receive, store, pick and dispatch parts, perform basic inspections, and help maintain accurate stock records while ensuring safety rules are followed.

The role requires good teamwork, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to process improvements. Working in a production environment, you will handle electronics components in an ESD-conscious setting, operate

Qualifications

• Proven stores experience in a production or warehouse environment.
• Experience handling electronic components in an ESD environment.
• Forklift license and valid UK driving license.
• Good communication and ability to work in a team; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stock, pick, and dispatch parts according to procedures.
• Assist goods-in with minor inspection and counting.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and follow COSHH and health & safety policies.

Job description

• To ensure company stock and non-stock items are received, stored, picked and delivered to internal & external customers in a safe, efficient and timely manner, by offering support to other departments and providing good customer service by communicating and responding to business needs, while following health and safety procedures.


• An amount of minor mechanical inspection (counting, checking basic dimensions) to assist the movement of parts through goods-in.


• The role would include:


• + Stock checking, picking kits and shortages for production, picking parts for sales orders, picking stock requisitions, delivering and collecting parts within the company, packing parts for dispatch, keeping the area safe and tidy, contributing to continuous improvement, following health and safety procedures, manual handling and COSHH policies and practices,


• To understand, apply and promote a 'safety-first' culture, ensuring strict compliance with Customer and Company policies, procedures and practices relating to Occupational Health & Safety and Environment, including completion of risk assessments, workplace inspections, wearing of PPE, undertaking training and communication re safe working instructions, incident investigations etc and ensuring timely identification, escalation and resolution of any aspects that could adversely impact employees health and safety, or others, as a result of work activities.


• To actively contribute to the Company's continuous improvement process through presentation of corrective actions, suggestions or initiatives focussed on increasing efficiency, productivity, customer satisfaction and employee morale throughout the company.


• To keep up to date with Company organisation and structure, technology, products, applications and customers, through attendance on training events, personal liaison with internal commercial, technical and business support staff and awareness of general Company internal communications


• To establish, maintain and promote effective working relationships across the Company based on positive two-way communications, planning and a collaborative working style.


• To ensure awareness, understanding and adherence to all Company Policies and Procedures, including Health & Safety, Anti Bribery, ISO-QMS, Financial, Commercial and Operational.


• To maintain technical and professional job competencies (qualifications, knowledge and personal skills) through continuous development activities including formal training, self directed learning, use of professional networks, literature reviews etc.

SECURITY CLEARANCE

• Security clearance will be applied for on appointment - Only candidates suitable for clearance need apply.


• Proof of residency in UK for last 5 years is required.


• UK nationals only. No dual nationals.
  GCSE English (or equivalent), Desirable - A Level or above

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Previous stores experience desirable


• Experience handling electronic components in an ESD environment and handling electro mechanical parts is desirable but not essential


• Forklift truck license desirable and current Full UK driving license required


• Familiar with manual handling and working in a production environment


• Ability to communicate well with others and work in a team


• Able and keen to learn new tasks and work on own initiative


• IT Literate - experience with stock control software preferred


• Able to spot opportunities for improvements and make reasonable suggestions to eliminate errors, reduce scrap or damage to parts and improve efficiency


• Experience with basic mechanical inspection of parts desirable
