Storeman/Driver

Our client based in Potterton is looking for a Storeman/Driver to join their team on a staff basis.

Main Purpose of Job:
  1. To pick, compile, and pack orders accurately in line with clients and company requirements, ensuring relevant certification, datasheets, and dangerous goods paperwork are enclosed.
  2. Deliver goods/products on behalf of the company in a safe and secure manner, ensuring goods are in good condition.
  3. Ensure goods are delivered within timescales to the customer’s satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
  1. Accurate picking and packing of orders.
  2. Responsible for all documentation related to goods outwards.
  3. Perform warehouse and driving duties as required.
Key Work Areas:
  1. Goods Outwards / Warehouse / Deliveries
  2. Check order accuracy and resolve anomalies prior to dispatch.
  3. Pack orders securely to prevent damage during transit.
  4. Maintain administrative procedures and communication in line with QA requirements.
  5. Keep checked and unchecked equipment separate.
  6. Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  7. Undertake warehouse tasks such as stock taking and goods inwards.
  8. Perform maintenance of company equipment including forklifts and pallet trucks.
  9. Ensure safe storage of stock items.
  10. Use Oil Spill Containment Kits appropriately.
  11. Follow policies on waste reduction and recycling.
  12. Load delivery vehicles.
  13. Maintain and care for company vehicles.
  14. Liaise with customers during deliveries.
  15. Handle damaged goods and coordinate collection and return processes.
Desired Qualities/Qualifications:
  • Experience in a warehouse environment.
  • QHSE Training.
  • MSDS/Dangerous Goods training.
  • Knowledge of stock products.
  • Clean Driving Licence.
  • Forklift Driving Certificate.
  • 7.5T Licence.
  • CPC Training.
