About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Storeman & Administration Assistant to join our team. This varied role combines hands-on inventory and stock management with key administrative and purchasing responsibilities to support the smooth running of our operations.

Responsibilities
  • Storeperson duties:
    • Receive, inspect, and correctly store incoming goods
    • Maintain accurate stock records and carry out regular stocktakes
    • Ensure workstations are fully stocked in coordination with factory staff
    • Keep the storeroom clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards
    • Liaise with suppliers and couriers when required
  • Administration & Purchasing duties:
    • Update and maintain inventory systems and documentation
    • Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
    • Process purchase orders, delivery notes, and track incoming deliveries
    • Resolve supply issues or delays with suppliers
    • Analyse stock usage trends and adjust purchasing accordingly
    • Provide general administrative support across departments
    • Answer phone calls and emails professionally
    • Assist with general office tasks and filing
  • Purchase Ledger:
    • Process supplier invoices and credit notes accurately
    • Match purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices
    • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
    • Maintain up-to-date and accurate ledger records
    • Respond to supplier queries in a timely and professional manner
About You
  • Experience in a Storeperson, Warehouse, Administration, or Purchase Ledger role
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and inventory management systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling
  • High level of attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • A forklift licence is desirable, but not essential
Benefits & Working Conditions
  • Salary: £28,000 per annum
  • Hours: 40 hours per week, working between 8:00am and 8:00pm depending on shift pattern
  • Breaks: 30-minute unpaid lunch break
  • Holidays: 20 days annual leave (5 days must be reserved for Christmas shutdown), plus 8 bank holidays per year
