Job summary

Barker Ross Group in Sutton-in-Ashfield is seeking a Storeman to join a metal fabrication firm. The role involves deliveries, stock control, and ensuring accurate component issuing, with day-to-day use of email and Excel.

Pay is £14.84 per hour with Monday-Thursday 08:00-16:30 and Friday 07:15-13:30; overtime 06:00-08:00 at 1.5x. Training for forklift/Banksman available or encouraged as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous stores, warehouse or engineering experience.
• General engineering knowledge or experience would be beneficial.
• Good computer skills, including email and Excel.
• SAP experience is preferred.
• Forklift/Banksman training would be an advantage.
• Willingness to complete forklift/Banksman training if not already qualified.

Responsibilities

• Managing deliveries in and out of the site.
• Supervising and monitoring the stores area.
• Issuing the correct components and materials.
• Stock control and monitoring usage.
• Managing minimum order quantities and expiry dates.
• Using emails and Excel on a day-to-day basis.
• Keeping the stores area organised, tidy and efficient.
• Supporting with other reasonable duties as required.

Barker Ross are currently recruiting for a Storeman to join a metal fabrication firm based in Sutton-in-Ashfield.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is organised, practical and has an interest in engineering or manufacturing.

Key Details

• Pay: £14.84 per hour
• Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30
• Friday: 07:15 - 13:30
• Overtime: Available Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 08:00, paid at 1.5x
• Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield
