Responsibilities

  • Operate safely within the store, following all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Respond promptly to material requests from engineers.
  • Pick and prepare orders for engineer collections.
  • Receive deliveries and check against delivery notes.
  • Take responsibility for waste streams.
  • Keep the store tidy and compliant with safety standards.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify discrepancies.
  • Support the Inventory Controller with stock information.
  • Work collaboratively with store colleagues.

Job description
StoreKeeper – Glasgow

Location: Glasgow. Pay: £13.56 - £15.01 per hour. Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am to 7pm.

Responsibilities
  • Operate safely within the store, following all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Respond promptly to material requests from engineers, ensuring accurate issue of stock.
  • Pick and prepare orders for engineer collections and operational requirements.
  • Receive deliveries of materials, checking against delivery notes and logging accurately in systems.
  • Take responsibility for waste streams, segregating and disposing of waste in line with company processes.
  • Keep the store tidy, organised, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Monitor stock levels, identify gaps, low stock, or discrepancies and escalade to the line manager.
  • Support the Inventory Controller and Inventory Planner by providing accurate stock information.
  • Work collaboratively with other store colleagues and depot teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Qualifications
  • Experience in stores, warehousing, or logistics operations.
  • Knowledge of safe manual handling and store safety practices.
  • Familiarity with stock control processes and basic inventory systems.
  • Ability to work accurately and methodically, with attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and team‑working skills.
  • Good communication skills to engage with engineers and depot colleagues.
  • Physically fit, as there is some heavy lifting.
