Medical Clearance - Pre-placement health assessment (PPHA) Highway Maintenance Service (HMS) at Manchester City Council is a reactive service working city wide, you must hold a current UK driving licence, here at HMS we undertake reactive repairs to the city of Manchester. We are looking for a dynamic individual to mange our inventory to a very high standard with a can do attitude to join our small but bust team.
  • Manage day to day inventory
  • Understand and facilitate Health & Safety in a store environment
  • Re order stock using procurement techniques
  • Open and close the store yard
  • Oversee all supply chain activities
Ideally you will be experienced in inventory control and supply chain management in the construction sector, looking after building materials.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated person with demonstrable experience of working successfully in an stores environment and proven abilities in working directly with operatives

The candidate will have good interpersonal skills, have the ability to work both independently and in a team, and have excellent oral and written communication skills. You will need a high level of organisational skills and be competent in a range of software (for example, Microsoft Excel, Outlook,Teams)

The post holder will be expected to work at weekends and evenings on occasions in line with service needs.
