Job summary

B&Q Washington is looking for a Store to Home Picker to help customers on the shop floor and over the phone, sharing product knowledge and guiding their home improvement ideas.

You’ll be involved in courier, click-and-collect and home delivery services, with heavy lifting at times. The role requires flexibility to cover a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Confident and friendly communicator with customer-facing experience.
• Able to build relationships and share product knowledge with customers on the shop floor and over the phone.
• Willing to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as part of a rota.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers on the shop floor and via phone with product guidance.
• Support courier, click-and-collect, and home delivery services.
• Be physically able to handle some heavy lifting and lifting of goods.
• Work a rota including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

Store to Home Picker

You’re a confident and friendly communicator, comfortable building relationships and sharing product knowledge with customers face to face and over the phone. Efficiency and safety will be vital of course but your real focus will be the customer, either supporting their ideas on the shop floor or working to a one hour click and collect service.

Full Time - 36.75 hours per week

You’re an organised and analytical thinker, and you know how to prioritise your time and keep things simple. We provide courier, click and collect and home delivery services and products can range from tins of paint to bags of compost or hot tubs, so you’ll be comfortable with some heavy lifting. Being agile and flexible is important to the success of this role. You’ll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. And you’re flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings, and bank holidays.

Permanent Contract

Shifts available Monday - Sunday, 6.00am - 10.00pm

UK Notional hourly rate £ 13.10 per hour
